iLiver, primul workshop organizat de sectia engleză
iLiver este un workshop organizat de studenții de la secția engelză de la Universitatea de Medicină și Farmacie Târgu Mureș care a avut loc în perioada 9-10 Mai.
Obiectivele acestui workshop sunt de a întelege și învăța anatomia, fiziologia, histologia și aspectele patologice ale ficatului. În același cadru se va efectua o intervenție de colecistectomie, de transplant hepatic, dar participanții vor invăța și comptențe de examinare clinică respectiv de ecografie hepatică.
Printre invitați se numără dr. Mircea Mureșan, dr. Simona Mureșan și dr. Simona Marcu, tot evenimentul fiind coordonat de studenții Francesco Federico și Vittoria Gammaldi. În continuare Francesco ne-a răspuns la căteva întrebări, dorind însă să păstram subiectivismul și veridicitatea, le vom prezenta în limba engleză.
Q:What motivated you to organize such a workshop?
A:The idea came up last year, when we realized there were not so many possibilities for foreign students to participate to the workshop, because most of them are in Romanian.
Q: Why have you chosen the liver in particular?
A: It seems that the greatest part of the workshops concern the “major” organs, I mean heart and brain. The idea was to move the attention even on other essential organs, because we couldn’t live without them anyway.
Q: Why are there only 30 people accepted?
A: Discussing with the teachers we decided not to take to many people so students will be more controlled, but anyway we didn’t expect so many students wanted to take part.
Q: How many people are there in your team helping you?
A: The team is composed of 5 persons. The effort we have to make to satisfy the participants is a lot, even if the greatest part of the workshop has been made by my colleague and me.
Q: Do you think this tradition will keep on the following years?
A: Yes, we think so. The only thing we have to decide upon is either doing something new, or keeping on with the liver topic.
